Dr. Gary has worked with bees for feature films, television productions, and commercials for over 30 years. His expertise is based on more than 40 years of experience in practical work in the field and scientific research at the University of California regarding the behavior of honey bees and insects. By specializing in honey bees throughout his career he has become the unchallenged world expert in this field and the premier bee wrangler in the world. Owing to his diverse experiences and creativity, he can solve difficult problems, such as controlling various behaviors. He can make action happen quickly and on cue, even when large numbers are involved.  On one occasion he released, controlled, and recovered a million honey bees in an outdoor setting!  He is an insect behaviorist by training and is qualified to work insects other than bees, such as butterflies and roaches, and other small invertebrates.  His experiences as a photographer (16 mm, 35 mm, video cameras) facilitates his teamwork with professional photographers of all types.
